Editorial standards

We use AI tools to help draft and organize our guides. That is the starting point, never the finished product. Nothing is published until a human editor has reviewed it.

What the review covers

Every article goes through the same review before it goes live:

  1. Fact check. Prices, group sizes, distilleries visited, durations, and policies are verified against the operator's own booking pages and recent traveler reviews. If we cannot verify a fact, it does not go in.
  2. Verdict check. Our picks have to follow from the comparison data in the article. If the numbers say one thing and the verdict says another, the verdict is wrong and gets fixed.
  3. Metadata check. Page titles, meta descriptions, and image descriptions are reviewed with the same care as the body text, because they are what readers see in search results.
  4. Freshness check. Every guide carries a last updated date. When prices or policies change, the guide gets updated and the date moves with it.

What we will not publish

Unverified claims, invented details, and placeholder content. If a tour's tasting lineup is unclear, we say it is unclear. If a price could not be confirmed, we say so or leave it out. A guide with an honest gap beats a guide with a confident guess.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix the guide and update the date. If you spot an error, the fastest way to reach us is the contact on our about page.
